Lesson Plan Focus
For the focus of my lesson plan, I am going to use the Civil War. I chose the Civil War because there is so much information out there on the subject and there are a lot of different ideas that have been tried and tested out.

My lesson plan is going to be targeted at an 8th grade Social Studies or History class.

The Curriculum Requirement that it will fulfill is the 9th Standard and Objective 1-3. It is under Social Studies for 8th grade.

The types of technologies that I would like to use are: Virtual Tour, Create a WebPage, and a lot of powerpoint. I feel that these technologies would be very beneficial in helping me teach the kids more about the Civil War and getting them more actively involved in it.

For an Example of how I am going to show the students of how I want it done, I will creat a web page about the Civil War so that they will be able to see what I am looking for. I would also give them an example of other virtual tours that have been done, and allow the kids to search and find one that they like the best. I will try to have the kids use powerpoint to teach each other so that they will be able to learn how to use it effictively in a group setting.
